What is Dejavu Notes?
A short manifesto for why three people in a small studio are publishing their failed drafts and unfinished demos — and why you might want to read them.
This is a small studio — three people, one room, too many unfinished tracks and half-broken renders. We started this notebook to publish the things that didn't make it to a final cut, and the slow reasoning behind the things that did.
Why publish the rejects?
We noticed that the writing we trust most online is the writing that admits to wrong drafts. So this notebook will be exactly that: drafts, mistakes, dead branches, and the occasional clean answer.
Show your work, but show the wrong work too — that's the part no one else can copy.
What you will find here
- Essays — long-form notes on music, image, and code.
- Photo — frames we kept, with the EXIF we cared about.
- Works — finished pieces, when we have them.
